The image came to me while meditating and when I researched it I discovered that this hand gesture is called the Hakini mudra. When practiced it improves concentration and enhances intelligence while promoting cooperation between the right and left brain hemispheres. The joining of these dualities is also represented by the flame in the water detail. The original is oil on canvas, 11″ X 12″ and is part of a private collection. Giclée prints are available.
